Syrup Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Mashed potatoes with a subtle molasses flavor.

  • 2 lb. sweet potatoes
  • 1/3 cup Brer Rabbit® Light Flavor Syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/4 tsp. Accent® Flavor Enhancer
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (toasted)


Boil sweet potatoes whole, in water to cover, until tender. Remove skins and mash with syrup, butter and Ac'cent. Spoon into serving bowl; sprinkle with pecans and drizzle with additional syrup, if desired.
